woodwork was removed during a renovation, refinished and reinstalled to display
its diverse natural beauty.

It's excellent southern exposure heats solar panels, providing hot water that
supplements the oil heating system.
The primary heat is a modern boiler that feeds European
style radiators, while a large wood stove in the living area adds additional
warmth and ambiance. We are energy conscious owners: we supply energy efficient
light bulbs throughout, an energy efficient washer and dryer, and we
significantly upgraded the building's insulation last year. (Utility costs are
available.)
There’s a screened porch on the Stowe Street side of the
house, and off-street parking for two vehicles plus guests. It’s only a half
mile from downstreet (downtown) and just .25 miles from I89, making it
convenient to Montpelier and Burlington. The basement also has a limited amount
of storage space.*Cable and DSL high speed internet are available, if the
